NY Photo Plus Expo has been an annual event for many years. I go because the exhibit hall is the ToyRUs of the photo world. Sometimes there’s even a new mousetrap to tryout. Kodak which introduced the first digital cameras based on a Nikon film body ($8000) is virtually relegated to a small booth in the middle. Nikon and Canon still have the larger spaces near the front. Fuji is almost invisible. How quickly things changed over. Panasonic and Sony now are big players. There were more photo ops than I have noticed from past shows. This year my cousin wangled me an invite to a studio shoot sponsored by Broncolor and Hasselblad etc. Models and photoshoots were setup in a funky warehouse loft space.
