The inner garden on the ground floor is the centerpiece of the hospital. As you walk around the building this courtyard is visible. Most of the windows are inset to ward off the direct sunlight. The view is unlike any other hospital I have seen. The arched second floor window is the office of the CEO. During the day a few brave people and some kids will cross. No one plays in the fountains. The building material of choice is marble and it is in abundance throughout. The patterned marble floors were precisely laid all around the ground floor. The impressive ceilings are vaulted. It is a public building first and a hospital after. There is no antiseptic smell or feel of a hospital entering the lobby.
